Nokia E71 Review
Hello everyone, today David and I are here to give you a review of the super slim, super sexy, super phone that goes by the name of the nokia e71.
Lets start*

The E71 comes to represent the Nokia Eseries line of phones, in which the “E” stands for Enterprise. Pretty clear, and in true Eseries style the E71 aims for the users who are looking for productivity on their cellphone over multimedia content, just looking at the front of the E71, you see the word b.u.s.i.n.e.s.s all over the device.
The front of the device*

The first thing you see when you look at the e71 is full QWERTY keyboard which comes in handy for typing long messages, emails or URL’s (we will come back to the keyboard), next we see a 320 x 240 pixels High quality QVGA display which is perfectly bright and readable in any environment, even in direct sunlight. In the keypad you will find the most important shortcut keys which are calendar, contacts, email, and the home key which will take you to the S60 menu. Everything you would need to be always in contact.
Keyboard*

Back to the keyboard, it has a full qwerty and the standard Dpad, The keys are a bit tricky to use at first, but you will learn in the first 15 minutes. But beware, that people with big fingers will require more time to get use to using this keyboard. But don’t worry the E71 comes with a text predictor so instead of having to type the full word you can just start it and let the predictor finish it.
The size*

at only 114 x 57 x 10 mm, 66 cc the nokia e71 is the smallest full QWERTY device out there, the size of the nokia e71 tured me off at first but now i love have this super slim, super sexy device in my pocket.
The battery*

it has a massiv BP-4L 1500 mAh Li-Po battery and will give the E71 two or maybe three days of life at an average use, beware that using GPS & maps kills the battery a hold lot faster
Other things*

The other feature that you can find are the GPS with turn by turn directions, a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with auto-focus and a LED flash but don’t expect much from the camera. (It takes pictures and that’s it) And other multimedia features are done fairly but nothing compared to the Nseries line of phones. It also has WIFI connection and it is pretty fast at connecting. (its 10 times faster then my nokia e65
On the downside, the E71 lacks the TVout, a feature that I find very useful. Nokia missed it here, as some people would have loved to connect the E71 to a monitor and with a Bluetooth keyboard, make it a full computer. To bad because this phone also includes all the software needed to read, create and edit office documents, great for the people who are always doing documents.
What We lived*

- Metal materials – Just like all the other e-series phone the e71 has a “fantastic” fantastic! build quality, (if not the best) the e71 has to be one of the best made phone that i had ever used and like i said in the video, the phone feels “like a million bucks in the hand”
- The keyboard – the Full qwerty is also well made but it took some getting use too.
- Screen – i liked watching videos on the big bright screen
David*
- Metal materials, give the impression of a solid phone and it looks elegant. I wish the Nseries phones had these materials.
- The fast OS
- Full qwerty
- Awesome battery
- Text predictor
What We didn’t like*

David*
- Lacks TV feature, VERY important feature
- Mediocre camera -this might not be important to other users but its important for a hardcord multimedia guy like me.
The bottom line*
So to finish, this is a great device, that is well made and has a fantastic build quality with multimedia features that no other Eserie phone has, David and I highly recommend the e71 for all business.
Video Review*

Good thorough review guys. I have to say, I agree. In my view, the E71 is one of the best phones Nokia has ever made. I wrote my own thoughts in more detail here:

Contact sync through syncML services like zyb.com are perfect. I keep my touch2g, E51 and E71 contacts in sync. Calendar sync is great through google with CalSyncS60. If you want “enterprise” sync what’s wront with Exchange? I sync TXT through o-sync [ E71 ]or gsync [ E51 ]
synble and bloove might be worth a look

Look I really like my Nokia E71. But, let’s be honest, a device that cannot sync categories (for tasks, calendar items, and contacts, at a minimum) with desktop PIMs, such as Outlook, isn’t really “business class.” Symbian really needs to address this serious omission.
The S60 v3.1 (3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1) UI on Symbian OS v9.2 is getting pretty long in the tooth, too. Will Nokia offer a firmware upgrade to FP2? I wouldn’t bet on it. That’s another problem, to acceptance by businesses. Nokia may feel it needs to sell the latest phone to last year’s purchasers – always keeping us buying the latest phones – but even business-class users need to know their phone is able to be upgraded.
Nokia’s syncing software is pretty buggy, too. Will Windows 7 throw it for a loop? Nokia PC Suite cannot even “see” the memory card on my phone, when I connect it to my Vista x64 machine, today.
Anyway, good review of the E71. Maybe some day Nokia will stop putting its money in whiz-bank “Beta Labs” development and will make needed improvements on its core phone OS and PC software. Then, maybe they’ll produce a really smart smartphone, instead of a marginally smart one.

i too think that nokia & Symbian has some problem that they need to address,i still like my nokia e65 because its simple and easy to use,the new nokia phone are getting harder and harder to use, just look at the e75 menu icons, folder don’t look like folder they look like apps…. WTH, nokia has some serious problems, and thanks for the comment
